A Rhaspody in Red - Flapper Hat
late, I find myself wanting to embellish mass-produced garments or
objects to turn them into one-of-a-kind pieces, and mostly to give them
a new and possibly better life.
There is still a twinkle in her eyes, a twinkle that the passing years will not affect. She sports her red little bowler with glee and pride. It is a jazzy flapper hat, a homage to Fitzgerald, Chaplin and Gershwin… A vibrant statement that life is getting better and better and that mischief never stops…For all the ladies in the Red Hat Society: "The Red Hat Society began as a result of a few women deciding to greet middle age with verve, humor and elan.
